Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has revealed he will make changes to his starting XI against Algeria on Friday night after six players pulled out due to injury.
Bursaspor midfielder Mikel Agu is the latest injury casualty to hit the team after Victor Moses, Moses Simon, Ogenyi Onazi, Ofion Ighalo and Elderson Echiejile were ruled out of the 2018 World Cup qualifier as well as a friendly against Argentina four days later.
Mikel Agu picked up the injury while in action over the weekend, and although he took part in Tuesday’s training, he risks aggravating the injury.

“We have six injuries, so it means six changes at least in this game,” he said.
“But we hope to do a good game. We play to make a good game with good result.
“It’s also an opportunity to see those players who did not play so much during the qualifiers.”
More than the friendly in Russia, Nigeria will offer the team a chance to inspect a base camp for the World Cup and experience what it will be like next year.
“It will be a fantastic game against one of best teams in the world with perhaps the best player in the world (Lionel Messi), we will see what we can do against such a team,” Rohr said.
“We will have one South American team in our group (for the World Cup).
“It will be an opportunity to see our base camp and see Russia and what the atmosphere there is like. All preparation for the World Cup.”
