England striker Daniel Sturridge is set to return to the Liverpool squad when they host Bournemouth on Wednesday but Sadio Mane is out of the game.
Mane suffered a potentially season-ending knee injury against Everton on Saturday so misses the Cherries’ visit with Divock Origi, who scored the third in the 3-1 derby win after coming off the bench, likely to start.
Sturridge has recovered from a hip injury and will hope to feature for the first time in nearly two months but Adam Lallana (thigh) and Jordan Henderson (foot) are both still out.
Meanwhile, Bournemouth midfielder Andrew Surman is out with a knee injury, so Jack Wilshere is in line to start.
Surman’s absence means the on-loan Arsenal man, who came off the bench for the final 20 minutes in the 0-0 draw with Southampton on Saturday, is likely to start at Anfield.
Liverpool are third in the table, a point ahead of fourth-placed Manchester City, who take on leaders Chelsea on Wednesday.
