Watford striker M’Baye Niang has played down the comparisons between himself and former AC Milan team-mate Mario Balotelli.
Niang joined Watford in January after falling down the pecking order at the San Siro, but has made a decent start to life in England, scoring once in his three appearances.
The 22-year-old received an 18-month suspended jail sentence for a suspected hit and run which left 11 people injured earlier in his career.
However, he insists comparing him with the controversial Balotelli is unfair and says he is a changed person from the youngster who often found himself in trouble away from the pitch.
“It’s not fair and not true to compare me with Balotelli,” Niang told Watford’s official website.
“I am the way I am. I know the things I’ve done and the wrong things I’ve done but there is only one Mario Balotelli. I am myself. It’s all in the past now.”
