Imama Amapakabo has relinquished his position as the highest paid coach in the NPFL following his latest move to El-Kanemi Warriors.
Imama Amapakabo, who guided Enugu Rangers to a first league win in 32 years, admits to have been overwhelmed by how he was received by El Kanemi in Maiduguri ahead of his official unveiling later, Tuesday.
Imama has been without a club since being sacked by Rangers following an underwhelming start to their CAF Champions League campaign and an even worse title defence.

However, Imama was retained on the Super Eagles coaching staff.
Following Nigeria’s World Cup qualification, El Kanemi is set to announce the 48-years old as the new Technical Adviser for the next two years.
Imama, who was paid N2million a month at Rangers is set to receive a N15million sign-on fee and a monthly salary of N1million according to reports.
The contract means Imama has now been usurped as the NPFL’s highest paid coach – that will go to Yaw Preko.
His immediate target is to get El Kanemi to play international football in 2019.
