CHAN Eagles star Kingsley Eduwo has turned down a staggering one million dollars deal tabled by an Iraqi club, according to SCOREnigeria

SCOREnigeria quoted Eduwo’s representative Lanre Famakinwa who opined that the 21-year-old striker does not wish to rush out of the country for only money, but for football reason as well.

Kinglesy Eduwo scored 16 goals in all competitions for Lobi Stars this past season, having initially struggled to find his feet since departing Sunshine Stars of Akure.

Kingsley Eduwo wheels off after scoring Nigeria’s second goal in the 2-0 win of Benin Republic in Kano to secure qualification

“Kingsle got a one-million-dollar deal a year from an Iraqi team, but we agreed not to accept the offer because Kingsley is not in a rush,” according to the report

“He does not want to rush and get a deal just for the money, he has a future in main stream European leagues.”

Eduwo is probably holding out for an a better move to an European side when the CHAN comes around next January, having scored the all important goal that secured Nigeria’s place in next year’s event.
