Former Ghanaian international Kelvin Prince Boateng has opened up on his career so far
The former AC Milan, Portsmouth and Schalke 04 midfielder says he regretted the decisions he made early in his life.
Boateng who now plies his trade for La Liga side Las Palmas told Marca in an exclusive interview how he wasted his money.
He said: “In two years, I spent all my money on cars, clubs, and friends that really weren’t.”
He went further to say, he regretted relying on his talents alone and not work harder.
“For a guy like me, I grew up in a poor neighbourhood, and having all that money to spend was dangerous.
“I regret a lot of things. When I was younger, I didn’t work hard because I could rely on my talent. That’s not the right path.
“I wish I’d worked harder, but then again, it was normal back then, since I was the boss of my town and had money and fame.”
Boateng has scored two goals for his new side from five starts.
